About Merit Realty

Essentially a husband and wife team, Merit Realty has been in existence since the year 2001 and its role has always been as a ‘niche market’ real estate agency, specialising in retirement strategies and investment portfolios.

Our aim is to help our clients prepare for their retirement, so that they actually enjoy their later years with as little financial worry as possible. This can be achieved by fully owning a small number of rental properties by the time they retire, then utilising those rents as their income.

We understand that many of our clients have not known where to go for the right advice, often resulting in doing nothing.

Others did it alone and hoped for the best, often getting the basics wrong as they lacked the ‘know how’. For this reason, we always investigate and restructure if necessary existing investment portfolios to put clients back on the right path.

In simple terms, there are three ‘entities’ paying the bills, the tenant pays the majority, followed by the the taxman, and the owner themselves contributing any shortfall… often a surprisingly minimal amount.

We recommend where to buy your land, which builder to use, and which property manager to manage your property. We work solely with industry professionals that we know and trust to look after our clients to the same high standards that we aspire to.

Our aim is to give our clients ‘customer service’ by organising everything for them from A to Z, making the whole experience of purchasing investment properties an enjoyable process and as painless as possible.

There will always be challenges along the way for us to overcome in a professional and friendly manner. As we want our clients to come back to us again and again, we realise they won’t if they are unhappy, so we do our absolute best not to let them down.
